The DFG Labor Market Transformation Unit is organizing a Mentoring Lunch for Female PhD Students on May 19, 2026 at DIW Berlin (12:00 – 14:30). The lunch is open to female PhD students in any field of economics.
The event brings together postdoctoral researchers to share practical advice on early-career academic life, career paths, and making progress during your PhD, with plenty of time for Q&A and open discussion.
Topics include:
- Turning a research idea into a (job market) paper
- Networking, conferences & research stays
- The academic job market (Europe & US)
- Career outside academia
