2nd Berlin PhD Conference in Economics

The Berlin School of Economics is delighted to announce the 2nd Berlin PhD Conference in Economics, which is scheduled to take place from July 6 to July 8, 2026 at the WZB Berlin Social Science Center and Hertie School. This conference is dedicated to fostering discussion and collaboration among emerging scholars in economic research.

In this edition, we divide the conference into two parallel workshops by the specific fields:

  • Workshop in Applied Microeconomics, at WZB Berlin Social Science Center
  • Workshop in Microeconomic Theory and Behavioral Economics, at Hertie School

Submissions are open from all relevant subfields. Submissions are not restricted to full papers. Submissions of early-stage research projects are also welcome. All presentations will be followed by a discussion by a member of Berlin School of Economics.

The conference offers keynotes by Simon JägerEsmée ZwiersJeanne Hagenbach and Botond Kőszegi. Participants will also receive valuable feedback from senior scholars in the Berlin community.

Authors should apply at BSoE’s website until January 25, 2026. There is no conference fee. Meals and accommodation will be provided for invited participants.
