The IAB’s Graduate School (GradAB) and the Friedrich-Alexander-University Erlangen-Nuremberg (FAU) invite doctoral students to attend its 17th Ph.D. Workshop “Perspectives on (Un-)Employment”.
The workshop will take place at the IAB on January 22 and 23, 2026. We welcome Ph.D. students to present their work in the field of theoretical and empirical labor market research and receive feedback from leading scholars in the discipline. We strongly encourage sociological submissions, especially research applying qualitative and mixed methods. Early stage projects are also very welcome.
As keynote speakers, we are excited to welcome:
- Professor Paula England (New York University Abu Dhabi)
- Professor David Dorn (University of Zurich)
