CfP: 9th ifo Dresden Workshop on Labour Economics and Social Policy

The ifo Institute and the Technische Universität Dresden warmly invite submissions to the 9th ifo Dresden Workshop on Labour Economics and Social Policy taking place in Dresden from May 16-17,  2018. This year’s focus is on the formation of skill supply and skill demand and their consequences for educational and employment biographies. We therefore particularly welcome policy relevant contributions, both theoretical and applied, on topics such as:
· Early childhood determinants of skill formation
· Student aspirations and determinants of student outcomes
· Effects of structural change and digitisation on skill demand and social inequality
· Employment biographies during and after economic transition
Each paper will be allocated 45 minutes, to be divided between the
presentation, a discussion by an assigned workshop participant and a general discussion.

Please submit your (preliminary) paper by February 1st, 2019 via the workshop website. Acceptance decisions will be announced by the end of March.
